"The first thing I noticed about Jenna is that she tells it how it is. The second thing was that she tells it in a way that you can understand. She has helped me come from being scared of my riding horse, and almost quitting riding because of it, to being his best friend. In my lessons, we work on what I think I need help with, and Jenna never says anything in a negative way. She is always very helpful, and has come to some shows just for fun to help me with the little things. She is very willing to jump in and even take me to a show if my parents are busy. My favorite thing about Jenna is that there is always something new to learn; I have had lessons from western pleasure to English pleasure to horsemanship to jumping. She even found me a barrel horse who wasn't being used! I am happy to recommend Jenna to anyone, and am sure you won't be disappointed!"

"

My daughter Ella and I have been taking lessons and working with the horses at Kyhlwood Farms consistently for over four years. Jenna has not only done a fantastic job of teach my daughter about horses, but also has taught me how to work with my daughter around horses.
I grew up showing western pleasure at the county fair, but fell away from working with horses as my schedule got busier in high school. When I had my daughter four years ago, I decided to make sure she had the opportunity to work with horses as well. When Ella was around age 2, Jenna included her in feeding the horses and just being around horses in general. Now 4, Ella enjoys riding, grooming and still feeding the horses. She has competed in local lead line and pony speed competitions, having a great experience each time.
As for myself, Jenna has got me back in the saddle again. My riding skills have greatly improved and I feel confident that I will be competing in local shows this summer. I’m so happy to be comfortable on a horse again.
Jenna has an extensive knowledge of everything equestrian and works very well with children. It is clear that this business is her passion and she lives for her lesson kids and her training horses. I’m confident that if Ella’s heart is in it, Kyhlwood Farm and Jenna will be able to easily take her from beginner to expert."

"My daughter Elizabeth and I met Jenna last fall. Liz started taking lessons and I was very impressed. Jenna is great with the kids, listening and teaching but at the same time has a fun but no non-sense attitude. As winter set in and lessons stopped, we decided to search for a new horse since Liz was outgrowing her pony. Elizabeth rides English and has dreams of eventing so the search for a new horse was difficult.
Jenna and I searched the Internet for months.
We went to look at 3 horses with Jenna making the decision with her expertise.
The final horse we looked at, I got nervous. Jenna went the extra mile calling the owner, old owners, and trainers. As Jenna calmed my nerves we drove north of Minneapolis to look at the horse. Jenna had worked the night shift but willingly made the trip. As we looked at the horse, Jenna knew this was the horse for Liz. We brought “Jones” home and he has proved to be the horse we searched for. I could not have found this horse without Jenna. Whether we are at Jenna’s for lessons, grooming and hanging out, or getting help studying for pony club tests, I know Jenna is a great role model for my daughter. Jenna has a vast knowledge of horses but more than that she is a great person."

"I met Jenna at a horse show, and the first thing I noticed about her was how comfortable she is around horses. Later I found out that several of the girls in my 4-H club take riding lessons from her. I knew I wanted her as a teacher. In just a few lessons she has helped me a ton with basic skills. Jenna is so friendly, and all of her horses are well-behaved. The time I've spent at her farm has definitely been worth it."

"Jenna Kyhl was my English riding instructor for 4 years where I attended camp in NY. The admiration I had for her as well as her passion for horses is what began my interest in the equine world. Jenna helped me learn not only how to ride as well as take care of horses but also how to become a more confident human being. Jenna helped me through a very trying time in my life and grew to become my trusted as well as admired friend. Jenna taught me all the way from walking to jumping, she is a trusted friend as well as a respected teacher."

"I had the pleasure of working alongside Jenna for two summers at Camp Hilltop on the horse staff. It wasn't hard to realize what an amazing person Jenna is and to see her natural ability to work with horses and students. Her lessons are always catered to the individual(s). She is kind, patient, encouraging and knowledgeable and is able to create a learning environment that is educational, safe and fun. She's equally as good with the horses! I believe that Jenna's extensive and well rounded experience make her the ideal for working with horses. She has a natural talent that not many people possess.
Since my first lesson at the age of eight I have had the pleasure of knowing many wonderful horse people here in Canada and abroad. I am confident you will not be disappointed with Jenna weather you're going for lessons or sending a horse for training!"

"Jenna not only helped me to develop and perfect my skills but also continued to foster my love for horses and their management. I cannot say enough for her ability to clearly and creatively explain critiques. My skills excelled under her instruction. I have never had a better coach."

"I started taking lessons from Jenna when I was about 4 or 5 years old and not long after, I was in the showring and won my first trophy while competing in leadline. She has taught me everything I know and has well equipped me with lots of knowledge ranging from riding, horse health, and everyday life. She is a great friend and a fun horse instructor that has always been there for me whenever I needed her whether it be horse related or not."

Tracey F. (Hailey), IA

"My daughter, Hailey, 10, loves horses. She had developed a fear of them, but yet had a huge desire to get over that. I came across Jenna's website and shortly after that, Hailey started to go to lessons. Jenna explained everything with great detail and always answered Hailey's questions in a way that she could understand. Jenna always lets Hailey know when she is doing something wrong. Jenna has involved Hailey in many different shows that her and other students are doing. Hailey will start showing next year so Jenna wants her to understand what it's all about. Jenna has helped Hailey gain confidence when she rides. She absolutely loves it. Hailey is always asking me "When are we goin to Jenna's again?" Hailey is currently looking for a horse and Jenna is helping her with that. This whole experience is a lot more than just riding lessons. I have even learned so much about horses just from watching Jenna with Hailey. Hailey has been going to Jenna's for about two months and we just love it!"
